ROYALTY is a new category created by AladdinMiles. You earn real airline miles on your everyday purchases through the app, then transfer them to partner airline programmes or use them for hotels and shopping, and they stay valid for 2 years. They are not points locked inside one store, and not a discount you forget, but a trip that gets closer with every riyal.
AladdinMiles is Saudi Arabia’s first ROYALTY platform and the world’s first platform to offer airline miles with a Mada debit card. Earn by paying through the app at partner merchants and use your miles toward travel. Partner restaurants, cafés and bakeries offer 3 miles per SAR; other categories may have different rates shown before payment. Local partner merchants start in Riyadh, with more cities to come.
Why is it called ROYALTY?
Because AladdinMiles customers receive royal treatment, rather than being treated as a wallet: they pay exactly the store’s own price, without an extra riyal, and receive real airline miles on top, travelling with them wherever they want to go. The word comes from royal treatment. It names a new market category created by the platform that did not exist before it.
A point sits; a mile moves. A point remains a point, neither moving nor moving you. A mile is a distance: every riyal you pay through the app brings you closer to your next trip.
The difference between a mile and a point
The first difference is where the reward goes. A point stays in the store that issued it, usually ending in a discount on another purchase at the same place. AladdinMiles miles collect from all partner stores in one wallet. You can transfer them to partner airline programmes, book a flight or hotel in the app, pay all or part of a restaurant bill, or buy China products.
The second difference is price. In partner restaurants and stores, you pay the store’s own price including tax. Miles come on top because the partner store rewards you for staying with it. That is what makes AladdinMiles a ROYALTY platform, rather than decorative points.
A world first: airline miles with a Mada card
For years, miles were exclusive to credit-card holders. AladdinMiles is the world’s first platform to offer airline miles with Mada, allowing everyone living in this blessed land, citizen or resident, to collect miles from the everyday expenses they already pay.
Pay with your credit card through the app at our partners to earn AladdinMiles miles. Your card rewards remain subject to your bank’s terms.
How do you earn ROYALTY miles?
Earn by paying through the app at partner stores, using 3 methods that all finish with payment in the app: directly from the store’s app page, by scanning the store QR code at the cashier, or by scanning the bill QR code provided by the cashier. Paying with Mada on the store terminal alone does not earn miles.
Partner restaurants, cafés and bakeries offer 3 miles per SAR, with a return of up to 21% per SAR. China products earn 2 miles per SAR on product value only, excluding shipping, with a return of up to 14% per SAR. Unboxing earns 1 mile per SAR. Each category’s rate appears in the app before payment.
In restaurants, cafés, bakeries, Lifestyle services and partner stores, miles enter your account immediately after payment in the app. For China products and Unboxing, miles are added after the order is completed and you receive the product.
How do you use your miles?
In the app’s partner-airlines section, choose an airline, enter your membership number and request a transfer. The conversion rate appears before confirmation. Miles arrive within 1 to 72 hours, depending on each airline’s rules. Platform miles do not automatically equal the same number of miles in every airline programme.
Or book through Book Flight in the app: pay with miles and add the difference in SAR if you are short. Taxes or fees may remain, depending on the airline and availability. You can also book a hotel, pay all or part of a restaurant bill and buy China products with miles.
Why do miles expire after 2 years?
Your miles are valid for 2 years from the date you earn them, with each balance’s expiry date shown in the app. They do not last forever because they are held in our care at your request; in accounting terms, they are funds carrying obligations and zakat. So we do not let them sleep: we remind you how many miles you have and how to use them. We remind you of your miles; we do not hope you forget them.
